*Warning, long post* I have tried many times and many ways to get clean, but the short periods of sobriety after the all the different rehabs programs and jail, never felt permanent. I knew it was only a matter of time. For the first time ever, I feel like this is real. I found what works(finally!) Dr Uhl is the ONLY Dr I have ever felt totally comfortable with. I never hesitate to tell him the whole truth, because he has proven time and time again that he doesn’t judge you, or treat you like you’re a terrible person, or as though you’ve let him down if you struggle. There are no guilt trips here, just kindness, compassion, understanding and encouragement. And the therapy is just enough, you can do as much or as little as you need. They are there when you need them and don’t push too much. I personally dont feel like I benefit from digging up old wounds and talking them to death. It’s the only therapy I have had that lets me decide what I need. I can talk as much or as little as I need to. They give guidance when it’s asked for, but mainly listen. And for the first time I actually had legitimate diagnostic tests (DSM5) and got a real mental health diagnosis and treatment. Knowing is half the battle, right? I know this is long and rambling, but I cannot express the change that has happened within me here. I have zero urges, no desire, that little voice that nudges me into using is quiet for the first time ever. My mental health is so much better. I finally feel like I am really done with the drugs. I have NEVER felt that way, EVER. I didn’t think this would be any different from anything else I’d done. I figured I would appease my family, get them off my back, and get some subs to keep as a backup plan, so I wouldn’t have to worry about being dopesick for a while. I have been an addict since I was 13yrs old, and genuinely believed that was just who I was and all I would ever be. And sadly I was fine with that. Now I am about to turn 40 years old and FINALLY beginning my life. I couldn’t be more grateful. So even if you just want to just not be dopesick like I did, give it a shot. You just may get the best surprise of your life. Sorry for the long post, but I hope it helps someone.

Everyone here is beyond the best!! I can not say enough great things about this place. They actually care about you and want to help you. This isn’t a place where they just want your money and don’t really care about you as a person. There’s no way I could have gotten clean and stayed clean without a good NA program and these people. If you want to stop using and get clean you need to call these people!!!!

I’m fairly new at this and it’s my first time in recovery at age 57. I want to thank the Drs and Staff who helped me celebrate another birthday. I’m learning to open up and enjoy life again. Thank You!
